Not to be mean but…

Robert Altman has passed away at age 81. Rest in Peace Mr. Altman.
I interviewed Robert Altman a couple of times. I found him uncharitable and surly. And his art was certainly a mixed bag. Kudos to him for M*A*S*H, and a handful of other groundbreaking films. But in Chicago he directed one decidely so-so opera – ‘McTeague,’ one very bad movie ‘Company,’ and most recently one barely watchable, insulting, sexist opera ‘A Wedding.’

But my condolences do go out to all who care for Robert Altman.
